Research centre − EITCRC

The Research Center for Electronics, Information Technology and Communications (EITCRC) was established in 2009, as a part of the Faculty of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, within the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications.

The research areas include Signal Processing, The Theory of Information Processing and Transmission, Intelligent and Autonomous Electronic Systems, Soft Computing Techniques.

The research center's structure comprises two research laboratories. The laboratories' activities follow one of the two major research paths, one in the field of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications and the other at the border of Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

The first laboratory, called "Signals, Information and Communications", takes place in room Y-709. The research paths addressed in this laboratory are: advanced signal processing techniques, techniques for encoding and transmitting information, simulation modeling techniques of the processes involved in communications, advanced methods for monitoring and optimization of communications systems. The laboratory's activity is managed by Eng. Professor Dorel Aiordăchioaie, PhD.

The second laboratory, called "Intelligent Electronic Systems", is located in room Y-506B. Its research paths are: autonomous mobile vehicles, image processing techniques, embedded electronic systems. The laboratory is managed by Eng. Professor Laurenţiu Frangu, PhD.
